Angling Line Recycling

The Berwickshire Marine Reserve is supporting the Anglers National Line Recycling Scheme (ANLR) which aims to remove as much fishing line from the UK coast as possible and investigating how to recycle angling equipment that currently can't be.

Since starting up in 2016 almost 10 million meters of angling line has been collected.

If you want to learn more about the ANLR, check out their website:

ANLRS | Anglers National Line Recycling Scheme (anglers-nlrs.co.uk)

The BMR is supporting the ANLR and their mission by putting up their line recycling bins within the reserve. There are currently 5 up and in use. One at St Abbs Harbour, one in Eyemouth, one at Coldingham Bay, one at Burnmouth Harbour and another at Weasel Loch.

Please do NOT use these bins for general litter or dog poo!
